Domestic Violence Incident Yields 2 Arrests

A fight between a Dixon couple landed a Dixon man in jail Monday night. Also taken into custody was the father of the woman in the aforementioned incident on suspicion of assaulting the boyfriend.

The Dixon Police Department went to a home on the 20 block of N. Third Street at 10:36 p.m., in response to a call about a domestic dispute. Police said that Osvaldo Leon, 27, of Dixon, and his girlfriend were arguing when Leon allegedly punched the woman.

The woman’s father, Javier Ortega, 41, of Dixon, arrived at the home and assaulted boyfriend Leon police said. Police arrested Leon on suspicion of the domestic violence and Ortega on suspicion of battery.
