Free Brunch Today at the Dixon Veterans Hall
You must be among the first 100 people to come to the Veterans Hall to take advantage of this generous deal.

Hungry? Well the Dixon American Legion Post 208 is offering a free, all-you-can-eat brunch today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
But there's a catch. You must be among the first 100 people to come to the Dixon Veterans Hall, 1305 N. First Street, in order enjoy the free meal.
According to Post Commander, Greg Coppes, "We will provide a free buffet breakfast on March 11 and March 18 for those who wish to join us. Starting on March 18, the buffet will continue but at a nominal cost of only $6."

He added, "During the first two weeks the buffet will be free for the first 100 people and will continue to be served as long as supplies last."
Coppes said this "free breakfast" for two weeks is being done to promote the regular Sunday morning Legion restaurant "all you can eat buffet," starting in two weeks.

He said, "Our membership approved this new fund raising endeavor Wednesday night and we are expecting a fairly large group to take advantage of the two week promotion...who said there's no such thing as a free lunch...I mean breakfast."
The Dixon Legion Post started Legion Friday Night Live entertainment, and now the brunch, as fund raising events to off set the cost of the several thousand dollar a month building operational expenses.
Coppes, who is also building manager, told his membership he hopes the brunch will lead to more hall rentals, more people understanding what the Legion does and what it has to offer to both veterans and current military.
