I-80 Full Closure Overnight Feb. 10-11 For Bridge Work

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – Interstate Highway 80 in the Vacaville area will be closed overnight Feb. 10-11 for removal of the falsework on the existing Midway Road Bridge above the highway.

The Midway Bridge will be closed until construction of the new bridge is completed in the spring, and local detours remain in effect.

The full highway closure will be in effect on eastbound and westbound I-80 at Midway Road between 11 p.m. Feb. 10 and 8 a.m. Feb.11, Caltrans said.

Motorists traveling east on Highway 80 will detour onto adjacent auxiliary lanes and back onto eastbound Highway 80.

Westbound motorists will exit Highway 80 at Midway Road, then detour south onto North Meridian Street and re-enter westbound Highway 80 from North Meridian Street.

The construction work is weather-related, Caltrans said.
