Man Who Shot Victim In Vacaville Confrontation Arrested: Police

The person shot is in stable condition, Vacaville police say.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Police arrested a man who allegedly shot and injured a victim Saturday night in Vacaville. Just after 10 p.m., police received multiple reports of gunfire in the 400 block of Twilight Street. Officers arrived at the scene and found evidence of a shooting, including bullet holes in a vehicle, police said.

Minutes later, a victim arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.

Police investigated and learned that 44-year-old Joseph Finocchio of Vacaville was involved in a confrontation with two people he knew, a male and female. One of them was shot during the confrontation, police said.

After the shooting, Finocchio left the scene and went to a home in the 1000 block of North Station Drive. Officers surrounded the house and negotiated with Finnochio, who was eventually safely taken into custody,
police said.

According to police, the victim is in stable condition.
