Public Comment Sought on Redistricting Scenarios
Solano County will be holding workshops that are designed to give residents a glimpse on how the Census could affect supervisors' districts

SOLANO COUNTY β Residents can review and comment on three possible scenarios of how the 2010 Census data could ultimately alter the district boundaries for county supervisors.
The draft maps will be on display at redistricting βopen houses.β The draft maps attempt to equalize the population among the five supervisorial districts.

The public meetings are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the following locations:

βThis is the first unveiling of the draft maps,β said John Taylor, the consultant leading the County redistricting effort. βWhen this public outreach effort is complete, we will return to the Board for a public hearing where we will seek additional public input and Board direction.β
The Board will review the results of the outreach effort and consider the alternatives and provide direction at its public meeting on redistricting in June.
