Rainy Week Ahead, Plan Accordingly

Anyone hoping to get their summer tan on will most likely have to schedule some time in a tanning salon – Mother Nature is all booked up.

The National Weather Service calls for rain throughout the week, with a 60 percent chance of precipitation this afternoon. This evening brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with a chance of precipitation dipping down to 30 percent.

Thursday’s weather pattern will be sunny, with a 20 percent chance of rain –  Friday’s outlook is similar. But by the time the weekend arrives, so will the rain.

Anyone who has a graduate walking the stage at graduation ceremony Saturday morning at 9 a.m., will want to bring an umbrella. According to the school, the graduation ceremony will take place at its stadium, rain or shine.

This Afternoon: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 61. Southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Southwest wind between 5 and 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. South southwest wind between 3 and 6 mph. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 49. West wind between 5 and 8 mph becoming calm.

Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 74. Light and variable wind.

Friday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Saturday: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
