Smoke But No Fire Reported At Sutter Regional Medical Center: VFD
Vacaville firefighters responded Tuesday morning to investigate reports of smoke and an electrical odor at the hospital on Mason Street.
VACAVILLE, CA β The Vacaville Fire Department responded to a report of smoke and an electrical odor near a lab at Sutter Regional Medical Center Tuesday morning, a fire battalion chief said. Firefighters responded around 10 a.m. to the hospital at 770 Mason St. but did not find a fire, Vacaville Fire Battalion Chief Gary Mahlberg said.
The smoke and odor was coming from air conditioning vents in a hallway on the third floor. The source of the smoke is undetermined, Mahlberg said.
"We double-checked the motors, electrical panel and elevator rooms," Mahlberg said. "It disappeared on its own."
