Solano County Coroner's Office Identifies Slain Fairfield Business Owner

The Solano County Coroner's Office released the name of a 70-year-old Fairfield store owner lost his life during a robbery Tuesday evening

The Solano County coroner's office has identified the man who died after being attacked at his Fairfield grocery store on Tuesday evening as 70-year-old Ho Kim.

Deputy Coroner Jackson Harris said the cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy is scheduled for today.

Fairfield police Lt. Greg Hurlbut said the victim called police around 7:50 p.m. to report that he had been robbed at his business in the 100 block of East Travis Boulevard and needed an ambulance.

He told officers that three suspects had attacked him in his store, Travis Dairy. He was taken to NorthBay Medical Center where he died at 8:36 p.m.

Witnesses described the suspects as three black males in their late teens. They took a cash register and a video recorder and left in a brown or tan late-model Honda or similar vehicle, Hurlbut said.
