'Soul Surfer' Surfs Into the Homes of Dixonites

The movie "Soul Surfer" based on the young surfer Bethany Hamilton takes the top spot this week at Redbox kiosks throughout Dixon

The movie "Soul Surfer" -- based on the life of Bethany Hamilton, the professional surfer who at age 13 lost her left arm to a shark attack -- has taken the top spot on the Top 10 List of Redbox Rentals this week.

I haven't seen this film but it looks interesting. Anyone who survives a shark attack while surfing, only to take back to the water to surf some more, definitely has a story to tell.

Rottentomatoes.com, a web site that features movie reviews and gives movies a freshness rating depending on how critics score the films, gave "Soul Surfer" a 50 percent 'freshness rating.'
