Three people arrested on suspicion of DUI, three vehicles impounded during Fairfield PD checkpoint

Three drivers were cited for driving without a license on Friday night in Fairfield during a DUI/driver's license checkpoint, police said.

Officers screened 611 drivers throughout the night in the 1400 block of Travis Boulevard to make sure they had valid driver's licenses and were not under the influence, police said.

Three drivers were cited for driving without a license and one was found to be driving with a suspended license.

Three vehicles were impounded, police said, but no drivers were found to be driving under the influence.

The checkpoint was funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Transportation Administration.
