Tremont 4-H Club Walks the Runway at Fashion Revue
Tremont 4-H'ers learn how to work the runway during a 4-H Fashion Revue held Saturday in Stockton
Fashion Revue by Molly Jones, age 9
Saturday, April 9, 2011 in San Joaquin County there was a 4-H Fashion Revue. Kids in 4-H would be able to sew different things. There were many categories. I did the categories for Wearable Art and the $15 Challenge.
The judges talked to the contestants and asked us about our outfits. At the end, we walked the runway. Then they gave out awards. I got two Blue Ribbons. I had a lot of fun.

At the fashion show there were over 100 people. It took from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the fashion show there were three people from my club. Our names are Molly, Gabi, and Izabell. We had a challenge to find and buy an outfit for $15 and then had to wear it as one of our outfits during the show.
We also had to make a "recycled" outfit. I wore a skirt I made from an old pair of jeans and some scrap material. I also wore a shirt that was red and white stripes I made from two old shirts. We were all so tired at the end of the day, but we all did great!
The 4-H Fashion Revue, by Gabi Alcantara, age 12
On Saturday April 9th Tremont 4-H Club went to the 4-H Fashion Revue in Stockton. It was a long day but fun. There were different categories to enter. Molly Jones was in the $15 Dollar Challenge and the Wearable Arts and she received a Blue in both. Izabell Ramirez was in the $15 Dollar Challenge and the Recycled Challenge and she received a Blue in both. Gabi Alcantara was in the $15 dollar Challenge and she received a Blue and the Recycled Challenge where she received First Alternate to the County Winner.
Sage Alvarez went as a runner and Niki Talken from Roving Clovers went as a Room Host. At the end there was the Fashion Show and then the awards. There were many Solano County Clubs there including Elmira, Suisun, Vaca Valley and Wolfskill.
It was interesting to see the different outfit for the different challenges. It is a lot of fun walking down the runway poising in front of everyone. Some take their time and poise and others practically run up and back. It can be a real big confidence builder.
Congratulations to all of the Solano County winners!
