Welcome, Davis Patch!

We are no longer alone, Dixon.

Our neighbors up the road in Davis now have a Patch site of their own at DavisPatch.com and we couldn’t be happier about it. The Davis Patch site will be the place to go online to find out everything you need to know about Davis, whose motto is “The Most Bicycle Friendly City in the World.

Local editor Justin Cox is a native of Winters and is no lightweight when it comes to journalism. Fresh out of CSU Monterey Bay, Justin began working for his hometown newspaper, the Winters Express. He later began working as an online editor for PoliceOne.com, a web site that focuses on national crime and public safety.

Justin also wrote blogs focusing on music and college issues for the Huffington Post –  something that is sure to come in handy in the college town of Davis. 

Justin’s commitment to covering Davis will mirror mine in Dixon, and those of our other editors who are members of the Patch family.
