CHP To Host Marijuana Traffic Safety Summit In Dublin

The event is free and open to all members of law enforcement and the general public.

DUBLIN, CA — The California Highway Patrol will host a summit on marijuana traffic safety from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the Alameda County Office of Emergency Services. The summit will center on the legalization of marijuana in California and its impact on impaired driving.

The panel of speakers will include CHP Golden Gate Division Chief Ernie Sanchez, Willows Area Lt. Tyler Eccles and District Attorneys Nancy O'Malley of Alameda County and Diana Becton of Contra Costa County. Also scheduled to speak at the event are Jennifer Knudson, the traffic safety resource prosecutor in Denver; Kristin Burke, a toxicologist with the California Department of Justice; Lori Ajax, cannabis policy chief for the
Bureau of Cannabis; and pharmacy consultant Phillip Drum.

The event, at 4985 Broder Blvd., is free and open to all members of law enforcement and the general public.
