Deputy Pleads Not Guilty to Accessing, Sharing Confidential Records

Alameda County Sheriff's Deputy Ryan Silcocks appeared in Pleasanton court Tuesday.

An Alameda County Sheriff's deputy on Tuesday pleaded not guilty to charges that he accesssed and shared confidential information, according to the Contra Costa Times.

Deputy Ryan Silcocks appeared at the Pleasanton courthouse with his attorney, Steve Whitworth.

Silcocks is accused of three misdemeanor counts for allegedly accessing information from a county law enforcement database on up to six people at three different times and sending it to an unauthorized person, according to court records.

That person was an attorney with whom he had a dating relationship, according to the Times.
