Separate Suspects Arrested For Stolen Cars, License Plate In Danville
Danville police arrested two different suspects in separate investigations: one for a stolen car, the other for a stolen license plate.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville police recently made arrests related to stolen cars and license plates.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, a Danville resident reported that someone had stolen the license plate from their car, according to the Danville Police Department. Using automated license plate reader technology, officers located the stolen plate on another vehicle near I-680 and Diablo Road.
Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained the driver, whom they allege was also found in possession of stolen merchandise from a neighboring city.

Police did not identify the suspect in their news release.
Danville police also identified a suspect for two vehicle thefts on Nov. 23 and obtained an arrest warrant. With assistance from the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team, a search warrant was served on Dec. 4, leading to the suspect's arrest and the recovery of evidence connected to both thefts.

Police allege that the 17-year-old suspect also stole or attempted to stealmultiple cars in Livermore.
