DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin community is mourning from the deaths of Rocky Orman, Dublin Elementary School's Child Nutrition team, and Kaitlin Repine, a fifth grade teacher at Murray Elementary School.

Orman, known as Mr. Rocky, died in September. He was known for sharing "smiles, laughter, and kindness with Shark students and staff," according to an email sent to families by DUSD Superintendent Chris Funk.

"He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather, and a friend to many in his community. He was truly a remarkable individual," said a GoFundMe page devoted to Orman's memory. "Rocky was known for his vibrant personality, humor, and love for spending time with friends and family. He had an infectious smile that could light up any room, and his kindness touched the lives of many."

"There are no words to fully encompass the unimaginable heartbreak that has happened," said a GoFundMe page set up in her memory, which noted that Repine died due to pregnancy complications, and also lost her child. "Kait was the most remarkable wife, daughter, friend, sister, aunt, teacher, and so much more. After 2 difficult rounds of IVF, her and Donald were ecstatic to be parents. Kait wanted nothing more than to be a mother, and she would have been simply the best.

"It is with the heaviest hearts that this page was created. This unthinkable tragedy is something no one should have to endure. We want to thank everyone for all the love and unwavering support that has already been shown. We can not change the fact that David (Donald) has just lost his entire world, but we are hoping these funds can help relieve the financial burden it leaves behind."

"Their absence leaves a profound void in their school communities and the district and serves as a poignant reminder of the immeasurable impact that every staff member has on our school community," Funk said of the Repine and Orman in his email. "Each person plays a unique and valuable role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our students.

"Ms. Repine's passion for education and Mr. Rocky's dedication to nourishing our students were integral to our school community. It is essential that we take a moment to appreciate and recognize the tireless efforts of all our staff members who work diligently to shape the educational experience for our students. Loss serves as a poignant reminder to show appreciation for the people in our lives we are close to and those who may impact us positively.

"Every day should be an opportunity to express gratitude for the dedication, compassion, and hard work our staff members demonstrate daily. As we mourn their loss, we must also celebrate the impact Ms. Repine and Mr. Rocky had on our school community. Please keep their family and friends in your hearts."
