Dublin's 'Nature In Our Backyard' Photo Contest Winners Announced

DUBLIN, CA — Rajesh Subramanian's prize-winning photo of Dublin perfectly captures what makes the city so special. Dublin is shown as a little village nestled among dazzlingly green hills and mountains kissed by a setting sun.

Subramanian's sweeping, epic photo "Pano" won the Grand Prize in the city's 2025 Nature in Our Backyard Photography Contest.

In first place was Ganesh Paneer's "Eyes That See All," a photo of a red-tailed hawk on a barbed wire fence staring intensely into the camera.

In second place is Jenny Qiu's "Full Moon at the Dish," a photo of a stunning supermoon that looks like a massive light bulb on top of the Stanford Dish.

In third place is Anthony Sicuranza's "Great Egret of the Creek", which shows a graceful egret surrounded by peaceful nature.

"We are continuously impressed by what the community captures and submits for this annual program. Congratulations to the winners, and thank you to everyone who participated," the city said in a statement.
