Rotary Club Takes Reins Of Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Parade

Applications are now open for Dublin's annual St. Patrick's Day parade, with this year's festivities helmed by the Dublin Rotary.

DUBLIN, CA — The Rotary Club of Dublin has taken over organizing duties for the city's annual St. Patrick's Day parade and is now accepting applications from participants in this year's festivities.

As in previous years, Dublin's St. Patrick's Day celebrations include a parade, festival, Shamrock Gala, Fun Run and Firefighter Pancake Breakfast.

The Rotary Club is taking over parade logistics from the Lions Club of Dublin, which halted operations last year due to low membership. According to parade organizers, Dublin Rotary volunteers worked alongside their Lions Club counterparts last year to help ease the transition before taking over the event.

"We are so excited that we can continue this annual tradition in the community," said Christy Li, the Dublin Rotary President. "The Rotary Club will work closely with the city and plans to keep all the parade elements those have come to expect. We also want to take this opportunity to thank the longstanding volunteers from the Lions Club who have been instrumental in putting on this annual event."

People and groups interested in participating in this year's parade can complete applications and pay registration fees on the Dublin Rotary website. This year's parade is scheduled for March 15.
