Ford Commercial Filmed on Colorado (VIDEO)

Four Los Angeles Police Department officers on motorcycles shepherded a “process trailer” along Colorado Boulevard Wednesday during the filming of an Internet commercial.

The trailer, which carried what’s known as a “picture vehicle” in the film business, went up and down Colorado several times from around 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The internet commercial was for a Ford Escape vehicle, according to Matt Ritter, a permit assistant with FilmLA Inc., the organization responsible for film permits in Los Angeles. Based on what the vehicle in the video looks like compared to a similar vehicle on the official Ford website, the Ford model appears to be a 2013 Ford Escape crossover.

At one point in the filming, the process trailer ran a red light right in front of going west on Colorado at the Maywood Avenue crossing—with the accompanying cops’ consent of course.
