Heat Wave to Bring 90-Degree Temps All Week

Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be the hottest days, but the weather should cool down by the weekend.

The Los Angeles area is in the midst of a heat wave expected to intensify Tuesday and Wednesday before gradually cooling down during the rest of the week, the National Weather Service reports.

Temperatures will reach 95 degrees—possibly higher—on Tuesday and Wednesday, the week’s hottest days, but will fall to 90 degrees by Friday.

A marine layer is expected to bring afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms to the L.A. County and Ventura County mountains from Wednesday through Friday, according to the Weather Service.

The weekend is expected to be a lot cooler, albeit with predicted highs of 90 degrees Friday through Sunday.
