Cyclist Shot In Silver Lake Drive-By

LOS ANGELES, CA — A 25-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday morning with injuries he suffered in a shooting in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles.

Officers responded to the intersection of Hoover Street and Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:10 a.m. and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A preliminary investigation determined the victim was riding a bike when the suspect pulled alongside and fired one shot, striking the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition, the LAPD said.

A detailed description of the suspect or suspect's vehicle was not immediately available.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.
