Dominic Ehrler: 5 Things You Should Never Say to a Goose

It's got a pool and a concrete seat for those who would visit, including BGF Dominic Ehrler. He was on hand Thursday as the media swarmed.

Ehrler looked healthy--if cast-encased--after the recent scooter accident that sent him to the hospital and a Silver Lake nursing home.
Ehrler told us that geese are a lot like dogs: "They're social and loyal. Geese hate 'em."

And, he added, geese--like dogs--tend to communicate telepathically, reading the minds of those closest to them.
But he went ahead and made this list of Five Things You Should Never Ever Say to a Goose for us anyway:
- 1. "Foie Gras." (for obvious reasons)
- 2. "Silly goose!" (This would invite hisses.)
- 3. "Don't bite the dog." (Maria would try regardless.)
- 4. "You deserve a big hug." (Geese don't like to be touched.)
- 5. "Go on a wild goose chase." (Maria is a domestic bird.)
Ehrler also said an invitation to Christmas dinner--and any direct comparison to a canine--are probably also things to avoid.
