Echo Park Neighborhood Council to Fill 2 Open Seats
The council will hear from candidates at its meeting Tuesday night at the Echo Park Recreation Center.

Two open board seats will be filled Tuesday when the Echo Park Elysian Neighborhood Council meets Tuesday night.
Tad Yanawine, who heads communications for the council, encourages candidates who want to represent either district 3 or district 5 to attend the meeting and make a brief presentation.
According to Yanawine, "Vacancies will be addressed during the meeting and new appointees will be seated immediately."

The meeting will take place at the Echo Park Recreation Center at 1632 Bellevue Avenue next to the Echo Park Lake.
GEPENC has met in an office space leased from the Bank of America at the corner of Echo Park Avenue and Sunset Boulevard for many years, now in limbo because of permitting issues.

The Echo Park Recreation Center building on Bellevue is perhaps the oldest city park building in the city and has been undergoing renovations in anticipation of the park's reopening next door.
