Marine Helicopters Won't Touch Down near Dodger Stadium Today (Monday)
But they were supposed to land at the LAPD Hooper Heliport in nearby downtown.

Echo Park residents got notice last week from Congressman Xavier Becerra's Echo Park office that military helicopters could land at the LAPD SWAT's Camp Snoopy field near Dodger Stadium between July 8 and July 22 as part of an urban traning exercise.
And, according to a spokesperson for the Marines' 11th Expeditionary Unit, ch-46E Sea Knight helicopters headed south from their base at Point Mugu Ventura County this afternoon for maneuvers.

Instead, they'll touch down at the LAPD's Hooper Heliport, City of Industry zone and Sheriff's Department's Biscaliuz Center between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.--one of the daily "flight windows" designated for the exercise.
