Rampart Patrol Officer Arrested for Prescription Fraud
Twenty-two-year LAPD veteran Joseph Caseres was indicted on nine counts of prescription fraud.

Officer Joseph Caseres, a 22-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), assigned to Rampart Patrol Division, was arrested Monday, according to an LAPD press release.
Caseres faces nine criminal counts for "doctor shopping" and "fraudulently obtaining narcotic prescription medications."
Caseres, 46, surrendered Monday at the Rampart Division station without incident.
Caseres was booked at the Los Angeles County Men’s Central Jail and is held in lieu of $20,000.00 bail.

Caseres was put on on administrative leave, pending the outcome of both the criminal and administrative investigations.
