• EPA Announces New Agreement Between US and Mexico To End The Tijuana River Sewage Crisis (californiaglobe.com) — El Cajon residents are seeing long-awaited movement on the Tijuana River sewage crisis, as a new U.S.–Mexico agreement called Minute 333 aims to fund and coordinate major infrastructure fixes in Tijuana and San Diego County. Local leaders, including El Cajon’s mayor, are praising the federal focus, saying the plan could reduce pollution, protect public health, and eventually reopen affected beaches if Mexico follows through on its commitments.
