1 Killed, Another Wounded In Bay Area Shooting: Police
The deadly shooting took place Saturday night in Richmond, police said.
RICHMOND, CA — One man was killed and a second person was wounded during a shooting in Richmond Saturday night, police said.
Police say they responded just after 8 p.m. to the area of Potrero Avenue and Carlson Boulevard, where they found a man who had been shot multiple times.
Despite efforts to save his life, he died at the scene, according to the Richmond Police Department.

Soon after, a second person who had been shot walked into a local hospital, police said. It's unclear if this person was wounded in the same shooting. Details about what led up to the shooting were not available.
This marked Richmond's third homicide this year, police said. The city is on pace to see a decline in homicides this year after 11 people were killed in 2024.
