4 Home Burglaries Wed., 1 More Thurs.
The El Cerrito Police Blotter for March 5-7 includes five home burglaries, including four in one day. Four suspects kicked in the front door in one case. A 51-year-old woman was arrested with counterfeit money at Safeway, and another Honda was stolen.

Burglary – Safeway, 11450 San Pablo Ave
Officers arrested a 51-year-old woman from Richmond she attempted to use counterfeit money to purchase a money order at Safeway.
March 6, 2013
Residential Burglary – 2700 Block Del Monte
Four suspects kicked the front door to the residence, at 11:11 am, and conducted a minor ransack.
Residential Burglary – 7800 Block Burns Ct
Two suspects manipulated their way into the elderly victim’s residence and stole property between around 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
Residential Burglary - 1000 block of Leneve Place
An unknown suspect pried open the front door of the residence, conducted a major ransack and then fled with the victim’s property. The time of occurrence was between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:15 pm.
Residential Burglary - 1100 block of Liberty Street
Unknown suspects pried open the front door of the residence and removed various items from inside of the residence. The time of occurrence was between the hours of 10:00 and 10:30 am.

Stolen Vehicle – 1600 Block Lexington Ave
An unknown suspect stole a 1998 Honda Civic between 03/06/13 at 5:30 pm and 03/07/13 at 8:45 am.
Residential Burglary - 7200 block of Gladys Avenue
An unknown suspect unscrewed the porch light and then pried open the front door of the victim’s residence. The suspect then conducted a minor ransack of the residence and fled the scene with miscellaneous electronics and jewelry. The time of occurrence was between 7:30 and 9:15 pm.
Driving Under the Influence & Driving on a Suspended License - Central Avenue @ San Luis Street
Officers arrested a 53-year-old Richmond man for DUI during a traffic enforcement stop. The man was booked at the ECPD and then released after he sobered up.
