Stolen Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Substance Arrests

El Cerrito police arrests on Jan. 5 and 10, 2012

Recent El Cerrito police press releases about arrests, slightly edited:

TUESDAY, JAN. 10

Stolen Vehicle – Around 11:31 a.m., Officer Tam noticed an occupied Nissan Sentra in the area of the 60 block of Highland Boulevard and conducted a records check of the vehicle. Officer Tam discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Richmond Police Department. Officer Tam and other officers contacted the driver, a female resident of Hercules and placed her under arrest for possession of stolen vehicle. She was cited and released. This case will be forwarded to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review. (Case File #12-00527)

THURSDAY, JAN. 5

Possession of Controlled Substance – Around 11 a.m., Officer Thepkaysone conducted a vehicle enforcement stop on Richmond Street at Blake Avenue and contacted two female residents of Richmond. During his investigation, Officer Thepkaysone found both suspects to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Both were cited and released. This case will be forwarded to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for review. (Case File #12-00266)
