Cityscapes and Bridges Portrayed in El Cerrito Art Exhibit

El Cerrito invites the community to see work by Michael Banda Dieguez at the City Hall Gallery Space now through May 2.

EL CERRITO, CA- In continued support of community arts, the City of El Cerrito Arts and Culture Commission announced that have welcomed a new collection of paintings by Michael Banda Dieguez into the City Hall Gallery Space.

The collection of semi-abstract paintings of cityscapes and bridges is titled Architectural Seasons is on display through May 2, 2016.

The city explained in a press release that architecture has been at the center of Dieguez’ work for two decades.

“[This] is a series about mood as it is informed by urban spaces that surround us and on a technical level the evolution of how I use paint and other media," the release says.

The community is invited to enjoy the collection at the El Cerrito City Hall Gallery Space, on the second floor of 10890 San Pablo Avenue. The hours are Monday, Wednesday 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 a.m. until 6 p.mm
