Correction: A Feb. 12 article, "Debut of New Recycling Center Delayed,"  incorrectly reported that El Cerrito's new Recycling Center will accept household linens for reuse. They will be accepted for recycling, according to city Environmental Analyst Garth Schult.

Correction: A Feb. 12 article, "A Herald of Spring on Central Avenue," incorrectly referred to the tree pictured in the accompanying photo as a cherry. When reader comments questioned the identification, we turned to Tony Wolcott, the urban forestor for Albany, who kindly identified the tree as a flowering plum, specifically Prunus cersasifera ‘Krauter Vesuvius.’ Although Prunus cersasifera are sometimes referred to as "cherry plums," they are definitely plum trees, not cherry, he said. Cherry trees in this area are not yet in bloom, he said.

Corrections: A Feb. 7 article, "Large Funeral Gathering for Tyler De Martini,"  incorrectly identified De Martini's cousin Mimi Cammack as his aunt. It also, relying on incorrect information obtained from El Cerrito High School, gave the wrong time for the funeral of Jeremy Crowder. Both errors have been corrected.

Correction: A deep apology for publishing a photo of someone else as El Cerrito High School student Jeremy Crowder on a Feb. 3 article about the tragic death of Crowder and another student, "Week of Shock, Mourning at El Cerrito High."  (The photographer accidentally sent us the wrong photo.) We recognize the distress it can cause to his family, friends, the high school community and the individual whose photo was published. It has been corrected.

Correction: A Feb. 2 article, "Tears, Laughter, Love as Friends Recall Tyler De Martini," incorrectly attributed quotations to Ivan Ackley and Tonio D'Alo. The article has been changed to include the correct attributions.

Correction: In a Jan. 9, 2012 article, "Parade, Events to Honor King in El Cerrito," the Jan. 14 date for the screening of the film, Selma, Lord, Selma, was noted three times, the first two correctly and the third incorrectly. It has been corrected.
