A car driven by a Richmond man crashed into a parked Toyota Camry at Colusa and Hotchkiss avenues about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, careened between two homes and landed on its side at a creek, police said. The 25-driver-old driver, who was alone in the car, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, said El Cerrito police Sgt. David Wentworth. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment for non-serious injuries and transferred to the county jail in Martinez, Wentworth said. Damage to the parked Camry was "significant," Wentworth said. The arrested man also was driving a Camry, he said. We thank reader Steve Crawford for the attached photos of the damaged parked car. One of the photos is a close-up of the "Drive 25" Pace Car sticker on the rear of the vehicle.
