El Cerrito Resident Wins Award

Traci Stuart, who lives in El Cerrito and is president of Blattel Communications headquartered in San Francisco, has won a professional achievement award from the Bay Area chapter of the Legal Marketing Association.

Stuart received the Rella Lossy Professional Achievement Award at the organization's annual "Your Honor Awards" banquet March 29 at the Four Season's Hotel.

Two awards celebrating career achievement in legal marketing are given each year in Lossy's name, one for a legal marketer and one for a practicing attorney. Stuart won in the former category. 

“Traci’s devotion to legal marketing is unparalleled," Blattel founder and CEO Ellen Blattel said in a statement. "She has contributed immensely, both to the LMA – Bay Area Chapter and to the cause of legal marketing. This award is much deserved and is a testament to this agency’s core values.”

The person after whom the professional achievement awards are named, the late Rella Lossy, is remembered as a poet, playwright, arts review editor, musician and lecturer at UC's Boalt School of Law, where she taught communication and conducted seminars on challenges facing female attorneys. She lived in Berkeley and died in 1996. 

This year's honors were the 18th Your Honor Awards by the 21-year-old Bay Area chapter of the Legal Marketing Association. Below is the full list of the 2012 awardees. (An Award of Excellence is a winner, and an Award of Merit in an honorable mention.)
