Celebration of the Life of Henry Treadway

A celebration of Henry Treadway's life will be held at 1 p.m. on June 3 at the El Cerrito Community Center.

Treadway, a graduate of El Cerrito High School, died May 8, 2012 at age 20 in Berkeley. He was a sophomore at UC Berkeley at the time of his death.

An Eagle Scout, he was an honors student at the high school, where he also played on the tennis team, performed in the marching band and twice took first place at the West Contra Costa Science Fair, advancing once to the state science fair in Los Angeles.

At Cal, he was in the College of Natural Resources and was active in the campus Rotoract Club, where he was honored as its Most Valuable Member and named to its Hall of Fame.

His parents are Chris and Diana Treadway of El Cerrito.
