'Vision for Academic Excellence" Talk by ECHS Principal

El Cerrito High School's principal, David Luongo, will speak on his "Vision for Academic Excellence" in a "State of the School" talk Monday night.

"The organizers of this event see it as an opportunity to further engage the parent community at ECHS," said parent Susanna Marshland, co-chair of the Investing in Academic Excellence project, which raises funds to support academic programs at the school. "Parent engagement is an important component of school success."

The school has several parent-run programs that enable parents to help the school, including the PTSA, Student Activity Fund and WriterCoach Connection
