Former Convict Coaches Recent Prisoners With Re-Entry Into the Community

The new Richmond Reentry Success Center helps former convicts establish life after prison.

RICHMOND, CA- Dameion King knows what it’s like to integrate into society after being behind bars, and he is using his experience to help others build their lives after prison.

The new Richmond Reentry Success Center, has been operating in Richmond since October of last year, and has helped close to 100 people get back on their feet after being incarcerated according to a recent KQED special report.

The Center is a collaboration among Contra Costa County civic leaders, local law enforcement and multiple nonprofits, and as they grow and help more people, they hope to become a model for other counties in the State.
