Man Killed in Richmond Shooting Wednesday Identified

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a dark-colored sedan that left the area after the shooting.

RICHMOND, CA — A man shot to death early Wednesday morning in Richmond was identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office today as 30-year-old Maxim Biswas of Richmond.

Biswas died and two others were injured in a shooting at about 12:20 a.m. at the intersection of Marina Way South and Wright Avenue, a police spokesman said.

Officers arrived that morning to find a vehicle stopped at the intersection with three people inside.
Biswas was dead and the others were taken to a hospital with injuries that did not appear life-threatening, police spokesman Lt. Felix Tan said.
