Police Identified 21-Year-Old Girl in Richmond Homicide Sunday

Police received calls from neighbors who heard multiple gun shots, the victim was dead at the scene.

RICHMOND, CA- A 21-year-old was shot to death late this morning in Richmond, police said. At 11:10 a.m. dispatchers received several calls of a shooting in the 400 block of Gertrude Avenue.

Responding officers found Richmond resident Joshmahl Russell with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

Paramedics tried to save Russell's life but were unsuccessful and Russell was pronounced dead at the scene.
