Police are searching for a man who lifted the dress of a legally blind woman as she was walking down the street in El Cerrito on Saturday, police said.
The victim was walking home from El Cerrito Plaza near the intersection of Liberty Street and Fairmount Avenue at about 4:20 p.m. Saturday when a man made verbal sexual advances at her, police said.
The victim rebuffed the advances and continued walking, according to police.
As the woman was walking away, the suspect came up behind her and lifted up the back of her dress, police said.
He then fled and the victim went home and reported the incident to
police.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
