After Measure K, the proposed parcel tax for West Contra Costa schools, failed to win the needed two-thirds approval to pass, the president of the school board, Charles Ramsey, stirred strong responses and debate when he said it's time to consider . The approval rates in Hercules and Pinole were the lowest among the seven largest communities in the large school district, and a showed that Measure K would have won without Hercules and Pinole.  The measure won the most support in Kensington, followed by El Cerrito.  The issue evidently touched a nerve, and many readers have been posting opposing views in comments on Patch articles about the issue on El Cerrito Patch, Pinole Patch and Hercules Patch. So we thought of supplementing the options for public responses with the Patch poll below. We'd like to know what you think, and we welcome your perspective in the comments section.
