Richmond Man Arrest for Fatally Shooting Teen Girl
Officials say a 16-year-old Bay Point girl was shot earlier this week.

RICHMOND, CA- A 19-year-old man has been arrested for the fatal shooting of a teenage girl in Richmond on Tuesday, police said. Brandon Payne, a Richmond resident, was arrested for the fatal shooting of 16-year-old Bay Point resident Mauriana Seymore, according to police.
Officers had responded Tuesday to a 911 call regarding a possible shooting in the 400 block of South 12th Street.
They arrived and find Seymore lying on the floor of a home, police said. She had been shot in the upper torso and succumbed to her injuries, according to police.

Detectives quickly identified the suspect as Payne, who was arrested near the residence. Officers also collected the firearm allegedly used in the killing, police said.
