Suspect Who Crashed Into Richmond House Identified- One Arrested, One at Large

Officials say at least one home burglarized before a responding officer was involved in a pursuit- an 18-year old was arrested, one missing.

RICHMOND, CA- A residential burglary preceded a pursuit Tuesday afternoon that ended with a crash into a house and one of two suspects being arrested, a Richmond police lieutenant confirmed today. '

Lt. Felix Tan identified 18-year-old Oakland resident Corry Kelly as the suspect arrested. He said there is another suspect that is still at large.

Police were initially dispatched to the Deanza neighborhood in the city's Northern District just after 1 p.m. Tuesday based on report of suspects casing a house.

Tan said investigators have confirmed that there was at least one home burglarized before a responding officer was involved in a pursuit with the suspects' vehicle after it was located on Morningside Drive.

The vehicle was later found crashed into a house in the 3700 block of Sweetwood Drive. The suspects had already fled the scene.

The vehicle's passenger, Kelly, was taken into custody near DeAnza High School, which was temporarily locked down as a result of the search.
