City Of Elk Grove: OWL Will Continue Operating Through December 19

The Elk Grove Overnight Warming Location (OWL) at Elk Grove United Methodist Church (8986 Elk Grove Boulevard) will remain open through Sunday, December 19 in response to freezing or near-freezing conditions predicted through the weekend.

Since its opening on December 9, the Elk Grove OWL at Elk Grove United Methodist Church has served 42 community members.

The OWL is open to adults 18 and older who lack shelter or adequate home heating. Nightly operating hours are 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Pets are not permitted. Families with children will be referred to a motel voucher program coordinated by EG HART.
