Egret Poses For Photographer At Consumnes Preserve: Photo Of The Day
This egret is beautifully reflected in the nearby water. The Preserve where this was taken has a Guided Sandhill Crane Tour on Friday.

GALT, CA — This beautiful egret was recently photographed by Mario DiManno at the Cosumnes River Preserve in Galt.
The Preserve is centered along the Cosumnes River, its floodplains and riparian habitat. It has a visitor center and over 10 miles of trails. A Guided Sandhill Crane Tour is scheduled for Friday. Get more information about the tour and other upcoming events on the Preserves's event calendar.
The 50,000 acre Preserve includes both wildlife habitat and agricultural lands owned by seven land-owning Partners — The Nature Conservancy, Bureau of Land Management, California Department of Fish & Wildlife, Sacramento County Regional Parks, Department of Water Resources, Ducks Unlimited, and the California State Lands Commission.
