Elk Grove School Board Will Appoint Area 4 Replacement Next Month
Deadline to submit an application for the EGUSD Board of Trustees is July 25

The Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Trustees plans to appoint a replacement to fill the vacant Area 4 seat next month, forgoing a costly special election, according to a statement released by the district.
Pollyanna Cooper-LeVangie resigned from the school board earlier this month because she moved to Fair Oaks.
The school board decided in June to fill the vacancy by appointment, rather than spend $400,000 to $800,000 on a special election.
