Thousands Protest Rising Tuition at Capitol

Thousands of students marched on the Capitol Monday in a protest against rising tuition, including some from Cosumnes River College.

Thousands poured into downtown Sacramento for a rally Monday protesting the rising cost of college tuition and asking lawmakers to better fund higher education.

Protestors chanted things like, "Get up, get down, the student movement is in town," and "Tell me what democracy looks like; this is what democracy looks like."

As afternoon turned into evening, some protestors were occupying the Capitol building under threat of arrest, according to the Sacramento Bee.
