Soccer Coach Will Get Four-Year Sentence on Sex Charges

A former Elk Grove soccer coach will be sentenced to four years and four months in prison for having sexual relations with one of his teenage players under a plea agreement announced Thursday.

Arthur Temblador, 36, will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.

The Sacramento County District Attorney's office says Temblador, a former coach for the Elk Grove Everton Soccer Club, pled guilty to four felony charges involving sexual conduct with an unnamed girl between the summer of 2010 and the spring of 2011.

The girl was between 15 and 16 years old at the time of the incidents, which took place in four different counties, according to the DA's office.

Temblador , when Sacramento police discovered him engaged in "sexual activity" with the girl in the parking lot of a medical building, according to police reports.

Police they had identified a possible second victim, but there was no mention of that person in the plea agreement announced Thursday.

Sentencing is set for October 27, 2011.
