Teens Arrested in Tues. Afternoon Stabbing

An argument on Kelsey Drive erupted into violence Tuesday afternoon, with police arresting three Elk Grove teens in connection with the stabbing of a 26-year-old man.

Police say Antonio Garcia was standing in his driveway in the 8800 block of Kelsey Drive at about 4:30 p.m. when he was confronted by several people. A fight broke out and Garcia was stabbed in the abdomen.

Police later arrested John Damian, 18, and two boys aged 15 and 16 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and gang activity. Damian is also accused of violating his probation.

Garcia survived the attack and was recovering at a local hospital Wednesday, Elk Grove Police Department spokesperson Christopher Trim said.

Trim said the department is still investigating the attack and there may be additional suspects.
