Weekend Planner: Bunco, Muscle Cars, More
Here's what's happening in Elk Grove this weekend.

Throw some dice for a good cause, or check out some Camaros with the kids: There's plenty going on in Elk Grove this weekend. Check out our event calendar for more options that we didn't have space to include here.
1. Bunco night. What exactly is bunco, anyway? If you're like us, you may not know. Turns out it's an old-fashioned dice game that's newly popular these days, and this Friday night tournament comes with free appetizers and raffle prizes. But the real reason to attend the Soroptimist International fundraiser: It benefits local seniors and foster kids. Space is limited, so call Sarah at 916-685-2012 to check availability.
2. Show me your muscles. A local Camaro club is sponsoring Muscle Cars in the Park III at this Sunday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bring the family and check out the automotive eye candy. There'll also be music and a raffle benefiting Elk Grove Food Bank Services.

3. Weekend in Greece 2011. We're already upset that we'll be out of town and unable to attend this mouthwatering two-day extravaganza, which includes food, dancing and cultural displays at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church. Check out this article for the details, and eat an extra helping of pastitsio for us.
