Man Stabbed, Critically Wounded During Fight In North County

A probationer was accused of stabbing another man during a predawn fight in Solana Beach.

SOLANA BEACH, CA — A probationer who allegedly stabbed another man Wednesday during a predawn fight in Solana Beach, leaving him severely wounded, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

Trenton James Lancashire, 21, allegedly knifed the victim about 2:30 a.m. when an argument in the 300 block of Corto Street turned into a scuffle, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Paramedics took the wounded man to a hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition but was expected to survive, Sgt. Tom Fletcher said.

Deputies found Lancashire a short time later in a home near the site of the stabbing and took him into custody. He was booked into county jail in Vista, where he was being held without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Friday afternoon.
